WELLSPRING IN MISSION & MINISTRY:  

 
 
Flowers on the Altar – To the Bjork Family, thank you for sharing the beautiful Mother’s Day flowers last week in memory of Marianne and a tribute to all mothers.
       
Drama Presentation – A word of thanks to the drama team for their Mother’s Day presentation to the Child in all of us. A wonderful, laughter filled lesson to us all.

Preachers & Worship Leaders – Meeting TODAY in the Common Room.
        
Jamaican Farm Workers’ Service - TONIGHT from 7:30pm – 9:00pm at the Northborough Historical Society Lower Hall. See Sharon and Alden for more details. Need a ride? See Pastor Jennie.
        
Church Potluck– Stay for fellowship following service next Sunday, 5/27. Come and share your favorite story, dish and dessert.
        
Sunday School Appreciation & Pentecost – NextSunday will close out our Sunday School year. We will be honoring our teachers and students during morning service.
        
Mission work in Monson, MA - Two trips are planned for May 25-26 and June15 – 16. Please contact Michelle if you are interested in joining in this great local project for carpooling and more information.
        
Run to Combat Malaria - The New England Conference of the UMC will host the 2nd Annual "Miles for Mission: Mosquito Run 5K Fun Run/Walk during Annual Conference. Sophia has registered to run and is seeking sponsors to raise money for the United Methodist Malaria Initiative: Imagine No Malaria. This group is working to eliminate death and suffering from malaria in Africa by 2015. They use a comprehensive approach to beating malaria through prevention, education, communication and treatment. It is making a difference. Today a child dies every 45 seconds from malaria; just a short time ago, it was every 30 seconds. Please support Sophia by having all donations in by Sunday, June 3rd. Checks can be written out to: Miles for Mission c/o Asbury UMC.
        
Communion Sunday in June – Will be held on Sunday 6/10/12.
Items for Haiti - Michelle plans to fill an entire suitcase with items for Haiti when she goes on her mission trip. If you would like to contribute them to her before May 27th, here is the list: Individual foil packs of tuna, pop top cans of tuna or chicken, crackers, peanut butter or cheese crackers, the fruit gummy snacks, Monostat (for yeast infections), children’s vitamins (no gummies as they stick together and become one), Tums type medicines and toothpaste and brushes (if we have enough of those we can hand out at VBS one day). Let’s see if we can fill her suitcase up!
       
Ride for a Reason – Don’t forget to give Pat F. your donations to IHN for her bike ride of 30 miles! She will be riding June 9th.
       
Birthing KitsWe will be collecting items for the Annual Conference this year.  We have chosen to assemble Birthing Kits, so that women who live in poverty in our world can have a clean safe birth. See the insert for items. Thank you very much for your help in this relief effort.
      
Youth Group – Saturday 6/2/12 from 6:30pm – 8:00pm in the Lower Hall. Our last gathering before the summer will be Saturday 6/16/12 from 6:30pm – 8:00pm in the Lower Hall. Thanks to all who have contributed in donations, and/or presence and/or prayers.

Beginners' Yoga with Darlene - Yes, Yoga classes will continue!!  Beginning Monday, April 25, there will be a charge for the two classes.  Chair Yoga will start at 6:00 p.m. and Beginner's Matt Yoga will start at 7:00 p.m.  The cost will be $5 for both Wellspring and Trinity Church members and seniors (over 55), $12 for non-members and $10 for students.  For more information, contact Darlene at 508-835-4856 or darl6589@yahoo.com.    *Note, classes are currently scheduled to run through the end of June, however, there will be two Mondays in May when the hall is not available.
