About Us
Established in 1997 by members of the former Fairlawn United Methodist Church of Shrewsbury, Wellspring nurtures a diverse congregation deeply committed to worship, mission, and witness.
Rather than sink our limited financial resources into the purchase of a building, we have chosen to rent office and worship space in Shrewsbury for the time being. "Wellspring Roadie" teams efficiently set up and break down our worship space each Sunday, and we haul and store our supplies and worship materials in a big red trailer that conspicuously advertises our existence.
Although our membership has evolved, with many current members joining within the past several years, we still have a few members who were long-time congregants of Fairlawn.
We strive to be an "inclusive congregation", and our worship services and church activities are open to all. The format of our worship services includes a mix of traditional and sometimes very nontraditional elements. Music is always integral to our worship, and our services tend to be very open and upbeat, as we practice old ways and seek new ways to rejoice and glorify God.
