Sunday School

Wellspring's and Trinity Episcopal's children join together at 10 am for Sunday school. The Sunday school children rejoin their families later in the service.  Children may stay with their families for the entire service if they would like. The nursery is for any child younger than kindergarten. Our nursery has many toys and loving caretakers to play with the toddlers. Sunday school is for kindergarten through middle school grades. The curriculum we use is based on the rotation method - a Bible story is explored over several weeks using different experiences like: crafts, cooking, and drama. The repetition of the story reinforces learning and helps those with different learning styles. We believe our children feel God's love through the teachers, nursery caregivers and their fellow students.

On the first Sunday of the month Wellspring has a "Whole Family of God" service with communion. All children are welcomed for the entire service. The service is geared more toward keeping the young ones interested, although nursery care is still available if needed.

Wellspring follows the Safe Sanctuary practices to protect children and their caretakers. People who have been attending Wellspring for over six months may assist in classes after training and screening. Nursery caregivers are trained in our Safe Sanctuary Policy and screened through the CORI system.  Two adults are present at all times and all caretakers know the emergency evacuation route and are CORI checked.

Sunday School, it's for Life!

Wonderful things happen in Sunday School ...sometimes.

Sunday School will show its promise with just a little more attention. Sunday School can touch the lives of everyone in the congregation - from the very young to the very old.

Sunday School - it's for life!

  • lifelong
  • life-giving
  • about real life
  • connected to the Source of life

Sunday School is a place where people and churches can be transformed:

  • growing leaders for the church's mission
  • increasing people's sense of belonging and commitment to stewardship
  • providing a place for new people to make friends and learn to grow as disciples
  • deepening people"s understanding of God's activity in all of life
