Open Hearts Open Minds Open Doors

We believe a church is not a building.
We believe no one who asks for help should be turned away.
We believe it's good to question.
We believe none of us is qualified to judge the lives of others.
We believe our lives are supposed to add up to something.
We believe when you truly embrace diversity, you embrace God.

Who We Are

We are a small, vibrant spiritual community in beautiful Shrewsbury, Massachusetts. EVERYONE is invited to join us, regardless of affiliation, age, race, lifestyle or anything else. We all share a faith in Jesus Christ, but The United Methodist Church encourages us to think for ourselves, so we don’t necessarily share the same opinions about every faith issue or social concern. But we are a family, we care for each other as we care for our community and our world.

Where Church is not a Building

Wellspring UMC is committed to being in ministry with one another, our community and our world. Our gifts and resources are not invested in maintaining a building but in people and places. We meet for worship and special programs at the Fellowship Hall at Trinity Episcopal Church in Shrewsbury, MA. Check our our Location and Directions page for more information.

Our Core Values

Wellspring UMC is a devoted family of faith:

All are welcome at the table

Growing in Christ by nurturing each other in love

Reaching out to God's world through worship, prayer, compassion, generosity and service
